A picture is worth a thousand words, and what we have below is our Eyefinity Display Group 100% operational with three Dell 3007 model LCD displays in portrait mode using a ATI Radeon HD 5850. We are using the «Dell» DP to DVI active dongle. It is sold under several different names and runs about $100 and cheaper if you can find a deal. We will be doing more testing and expect to see a follow up video review.

where would the ATI 5850/5870’s place in Nvidia land? I’m sitting on a pair of GTX 275 and a pair of GTX 260 core 216’s and am curious as to how much of an improvement would these be over what I have?

Looking for some advice on an upgrade. I have a Dell 435T with i7 2.66 processor and a 475 watt PSU. The card that came with it was a HD 4350. I am looking to upgrade the card and I am using an HP 2709M LCD that runs at 1920×1080.

I want a card to be able to play games at higher settings like Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, etc.

I am not partial to one company or another, just want a solid card. I would like to stay around $200-250, but will go higher if necessary.

The Eyefinity Challenge with HardOCP

HardOCP and AMD have been working together to get Eyefinity in front of more gamers and gauge their first hand Eyefinity gaming experience.

On Saturday November 14th, here in Dallas, TX we will be having The Eyefinity Challenge. This will be an invitation only event, and yes, we are extending invitations to HardOCP readers in the DFW Metroplex in this thread.

What we are doing is setting up a 5 on 5 team gaming/deathmatch scenario. 5 stations with Eyefinity, 5 stations without Eyefinity. You get the picture, right? Which team kicks more ass and does Eyefinity truly impact your gaming experience? There will be other demo stations set up as well to show off Eyefinity. We are planning on having the 6 display 24″ Eyefinity demo setup supported by yet-to-be-announced hardware.

HardOCP and AMD will be shooting video at the event and taking before and after interviews with you guys to get us real world feedback on Eyefinity. We will need about 2 hours of your time and if you choose to stay longer and hang out, we have a venue big enough to handle our needs.

Please request a slot for admittance if you are SURE you can be with us on Saturday, November 14th. We will be doing the event in 2 hour windows. If you are a hardware enthusiast or gaming enthusiast this is sure to be worth your time.

You must be 18 years of age or older. You are responsible for your own transportation. Parking near the venue is $5 to $10 in downtown Dallas. There will be take home swag for each participant.
